Ozzfest headed indoors?

Rumors have been flying over the last few days that tomorrow's (Tuesday, February 6th) "surprise, groundbreaking, historic" announcement by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne regarding this year's Ozzfest involves a move from the traditional outdoor venues to indoor arenas. According to Blabbermouth.net, promoters and venues in various markets have reportedly alerted fans that this will be the case. In addition, the rumors claim that the lineup will be scaled back from the usual 15 or 20 bands to no more than five or six, with Ozzy headlining most, if not all, of the dates.

Unconfirmed reports have suggested that the changes are being made to rein in the high costs of producing the festival, as well as to combat a decline in ticket sales over the last few years.

Ozzy Osbourne also suffers from seasonal allergies that have made him ill on several Ozzfests, which would be alleviated by moving the event indoors.

The Osbournes will make tomorrow's announcement in Los Angeles. It is not yet known who else will appear on this year's tour, although Alice In Chains, Black Label Society, Killswitch Engage and Hellyeah are all contenders.
