Peter Frampton to narrate Peter And The Wolf performance
Recent Grammy winner Peter Frampton will be narrating an upcoming free performance of Peter And The Wolf in Independence, Kentucky. Frampton, who lives in nearby Indian Hill, Ohio, will appear on March 3rd at the Kenton County Public Library's Independence branch with members of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.
Joel Caithamer, the children's librarian for the Independence branch library, told The Cincinnati Post that, "Peter really seemed to like the idea. If everything goes like we think it will, man, it will be a fun and educational program. The whole thing with him winning a Grammy is just good timing." Earlier this month Frampton snagged his first ever Grammy when his Fingerprints album won the award for the Best Pop Instrumental album.
Frampton's Fingerprints album, which included his Grammy-nominated cover of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun," featured performances by Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman, Pearl Jam's Mike McCready and Matt Cameron, and Govt Mule and Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Hayes, among others.
Peter Frampton kicks off his next series of dates on April 12th in Altoona, Iowa at the Prairie Meadows Casino. He'll be on the road this summer with the Doobie Brothers.
