Radiohead frontman responds to Oasis attack

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has responded to a recent verbal attack by Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher in the Guardian, in which Galagher lashed out at Yorke and U2 frontman Bono for speaking out on political issues. Gallagher said about Yorke, "Who wants to sing the news?...Get over it. I never went to f***ing university. I don't know what a paint brush is -- I never went to art school." Yorke wrote in response at Radiohead.com, "I did. It taught me to respect other artists."

Gallagher also said that Bono should "shut the f*** up about Africa."

Oasis was honored for Outstanding Contribution to Music last week at the 2007 Brit Awards.

Radiohead is working on its seventh studio album.
