REO Speedwagon getting high praise for new album

If early notices are any indication, REO Speedwagon has a winner on their hands with their new album called Everyone Loves A Happy Ending, which comes out April 3rd. Bandleader Kevin Cronin told us that people who've heard the music are really enthusiastic about it: "It's done, and we're as proud as we can be of it. People are telling us it's the best record that we've ever made, and to hear that at this point in our career is pretty gratifying, but that's what it feels like to me, as well."

REO will put a special edition of Everyone Loves A Happy Ending in Wal-Mart stores on April 3rd. The limited-edition box set will also feature a copy of the band's live re-creation of their Hi Infidelity album for the XM satellite radio service, and a DVD with acoustic versions of REO classics and some of the new music.

REO Speedwagon's next show is Friday (February 23rd) at the Peppermill Casino in West Wendover, Nevada.
