The Rolling Stones release racing-themed merchandise
Never ones to miss a marketing opportunity, the Rolling Stones have just launched some merchandise that's tied into the upcoming auto racing season. The band is now selling a Checkered Flag Tongue baseball cap, the Checkered Flag Tongue pin, the "Start Me Up" T-shirt -- which is a gray shirt with a racing strip and the Checkered Flag Tongue and "Start Me Up" logos on left side. The items are available separately or in a three-piece package that saves $11 off the individual prices. The Stones will play a number of shows this summer in Europe, many of which are make-up dates for cancellations last year due to Keith Richards's head injury and Mick Jagger's throat ailments. The itinerary hasn't been announced yet.
