Stone Sour guitarist wouldn't mind second Grammy
If Stone Sour wins a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance on Sunday (February 11th) for its track "30/30 - 150," it would be the second such trophy for guitarist Jim Root and singer Corey Taylor. The pair won the same award last year with their other band, Slipknot, and Root told us that a Stone Sour victory would be nice too: "I think it's cool that we still keep getting nominated. We think we need to win more often (laughs). But, you know, hopefully we can win one for Stone Sour and then I can have two of them next to each other. That would very cool, you know, one for each band. That, you know, that wouldn't suck either."
The Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on CBS, beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
"30/30 - 150" comes off Stone Sour's second album, Come What(ever) May, which has sold nearly half a million copies since its release last August.
The album's latest single is called "Sillyworld."
Stone Sour will headline the spring 2007 edition of the Jagermeister Music Tour, with Lacuna Coil and Shadows Fall along as support. The tour will begin on March 23rd in St. Paul, Minnesota.
