Yoko Ono set for New York city record signing
Yoko Ono will be signing copies of her new album, Yes, I'm A Witch, on Saturday, February 10th at Borders Penn Plaza in New York City. The new set features 17 alternative rock bands, including Apples In Stereo, Spiritualized, Antony and The Johnsons, and the Flaming Lips, revamping Ono's work, utilizing her original masters and adding new elements to create entirely new pieces. The album will be released on February 6th.

The new movie about John Lennon's murderer Mark David Chapman premiered last week at the Sundance Film Festival, to mixed reviews. The film, titled Chapter 27, stars Jared Leto as Chapman, as well as Lindsay Lohan. The movie tracks Chapman's three days in New York prior to killing Lennon.
The film's producer Bob Salerno told comingsoon.net that the film crew was very careful as to what they shot outside of the Lennons' New York apartment building, the Dakota, explaining that, "No one wanted to bring an actor dressed as John Lennon to the Dakota, and no one wanted to have Jared's character taking out a gun at the real Dakota. It's all the PG stuff that happens in front of the real Dakota, all the darker things were shot on a soundstage in Brooklyn and our production designer made a stage that has fooled them all."
He added that although the film's production had been in contact with the Dakota during the filming, which took part on the public sidewalk outside the building, they have had no contact with Yoko Ono: "I don't know how she feels about the film. We haven't approached her. We don't have any plans or intentions to approach her to show it. I'm sure if she wanted to, she'd be more than welcome to see it, but I can't imagine (her coming to us)."
Chapter 27 is currently seeking a distributor to release the film.
