All-star Beatles cover band to perform mythical "follow-up" to "Abbey Road"

All-star Beatles cover band the Fab Faux are set perform a collection of songs that they speculate would have been the Beatles' album, if they hadn't broken up.

The group, which is lead by bassist Will Lee from The Late Show With David Letterman and guitarist Jimmy Vivino from Late Night With Conan O'Brien, will perform the Beatles' fictional 1970 album, which they call Hot As Sun, on March 13th and 14th at New York City's Webster Hall.

The band has chosen songs by the solo Beatles that had been either written or recorded prior to December 1970, in an effort to present what would have been the group's follow-up to their 1969 swan song Abbey Road.

Among the songs the band is considering for the Hot As Sun performance, which is named after a song from Paul McCartney's solo debut McCartney, are:

John Lennon's "Instant Karma (We All Shine On)", "Jealous Guy," "Gimme Some Truth," and "God."

Paul McCartney's "Another Day," "Junk," "Oo You," "Teddy Boy," and "The Back Seat Of My Car."

George Harrison's "Beautiful Girl," "Not Guilty," and "Circles."

Ringo Starr's "It Don't Come Easy."

The Fab Faux, who often perform with string sections, horns and Indian instruments, are considered among the most musically accurate of the Beatles cover bands performing today. At previous concerts they have performed the group's 1968 album The Beatles (better known as The White Album) in its entirety, as well as full shows of nothing but solo Beatles material.
