Bob Seger going home to be around his kids
Bob Seger has wrapped up his Face The Promise tour and he plans to take the next six to seven months off, and he doesn't expect to even think about making a new album or doing a major tour again until October. He told us that the reason for such a long break is the same one that kept him away for about 10 years before Face The Promise came out last fall: "I want to be home, really, for the kids, 'cause even though I have been going home every night, I only see 'em a couple of hours a day, and I really miss 'em, and I want to reconnect with them. And they're getting into their teenage years, which are, like, formidable years, and I don't want to drop the ball on that, you know, for this, you know what I mean? So I got a lot of soul-searching to do."
However, there's a chance that Seger and the Silver Bullet Band might play a handful of shows across the upper Midwest and Canada in late June and early July, just to hit a few places that he missed since the tour began back in November. A decision on those dates will be made in the next two weeks or so.
