Chevelle pland headlining dates
Chevelle has mapped out a string of headlining dates around its upcoming stint as openers for Evanescence. The Chicago-based trio will take Finger Eleven and Strata along as support on the shows, which begin on March 10th in Englewood, Colorado. Chevelle starts with Evanescence on March 16th in Fresno, California, and will play its own shows on off days. Chevelle frontman Pete Loeffler told us he can't wait to play live again and perform songs from the band's new album, Vena Sera: "I've actually been off the road for a couple of months, so I'm looking forward to getting back to it and definitely getting excited about playing all these tracks live. We've never actually had a record that we were so excited about playing every single song. Like, we can pull any track off of this new record and bang it out."
Chevelle has set April 3rd as the release date for Vena Sera.
Chevelle has teamed with famed horror director Wes Craven for a contest in which fans can create their own video for the band's new single, "Well Enough Alone." Craven, director of Nightmare On Elm Street, Scream and many other horror classics, will choose the winner, who will receive $3,500 in cash and a trip to Los Angeles to pitch a movie idea to Fox Atomic Films.
