Deftones spring back onto the road

Deftones will begin a new U.S. tour on May 10th in Phoenix, with the two-month trek expected to last through July 9th. According to Harddrive Radio, the route will take the band through the four corner states, into Texas, then up to the Midwest and East Coast before hitting the Midwest again and finishing down the West Coast. Dates and venues should be announced soon. The California-based group has just released "Mein" as the second single from its fifth album, Saturday Night Wrist, which arrived this past October.

The Deftones were also featured on the Family Values Tour 2006 CD and DVD, which both came out in December.

Bassist Chi Cheng has contributed two poems to a new collection called Revolution on Canvas, Volume 2: Poetry from the Indie Music Scene. The book is due out on May 9th.
