Fall Out Boy unveiling new video this week

Fall Out Boy will unveil the video for its new single, called "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs," this Friday (March 23rd) at its official web site, falloutboyrock.com. Bassist Pete Wentz told us that the song was an especially personal one for him to write: "It's kind of based on this movie Closer, and this relationship I was in at the time, and I don't know if anyone's ever seen Closer, but it's like this really, real love story. Like, I think in movies lots of times, like, love is dressed up and made into something that it's really not, and it's just, like, real, you know, and it's really unwatchable for me. It was really inspiring, and so I kind of came up with it based on that."

Closer came out in 2004 and starred Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, Natalie Portman and Jude Law as four lovers emotionally manipulating each other.

Fall Out Boy will also make the new video available for downloading to iPods and computers.

"Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" comes off the band's recently released album, Infinity On High.

The band will headline the 2007 Honda Civic Tour next month, beginning on April 18th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Wentz told LAUNCH that fans can expect "the biggest show Fall Out Boy fans have ever seen."
