First Chris Cornell solo dates emerge

The first solo dates by former Audioslave and Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell in more than seven years have begun surfacing, according to Blabbermouth. Three dates have been announced by Ticketmaster so far, with more likely to emerge in the next few weeks. Cornell will be promoting the arrival of his second solo effort, titled Carry On, which will be released on June 5th. News of the solo project fueled rumors of a split with Audioslave, with Cornell officially leaving the band last month due to "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences."

The 14-track effort will feature "You Know My Name," Cornell's theme for the latest James Bond film, Casino Royale, as well as a cover of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean."

Cornell last toured on his own behind his 1999 solo debut, Euphoria Morning.

Cornell has also contributed a song to the soundtrack of the psychological thriller Bug, which is due in theatres on May 25th. The soundtrack also includes songs from Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland and System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian.

Newly announced tour dates:
Apr 14 - Toronto, ONT - The Phoenix
Apr 19 - Boston, MA - Avalon
Apr 22 - Philadelphia, PA - Theatre Of Living Arts
