Former Korn guitarist publishing book
Former Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch will release his first book later this year, according to Korn Underground. The book, titled Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Speed, and Lived to Tell the Tale, is due to arrive on July 1st and is now available for pre-order through Amazon.com. Welch has also been working on his first solo album, It's Time To See Religion Die, as well as a documentary called Washed By Blood that will focus on his life and career.
The album and movie are also both due out this year, in conjunction with Welch's first solo tour.
Welch departed Korn in February of 2005 to devote his life to Christianity and spend more time with his daughter. The band has not permanently replaced him, using touring and session guitarists instead.
Korn is currently recording its eighth studio album.
