Good Charlotte frontman accused of battery
Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden has been accused of battery by a female photographer, according to TMZ.com. The photographer filed a "crime report" with the Beverly Hills Police Department in which she claimed that Madden attacked her over the weekend while she tried to take his picture. Madden allegedly swung his arm and struck the woman on her left breast with "the heel of his hand," leaving a welt. The woman claimed that she was treated by a doctor after the attack.
Hours after the incident, TMZ.com caught Madden on video shoving his arm at another photographer outside a Beverly Hills restaurant as he tried to clear a path for girlfriend Nicole Richie.
The police are said to be investigating the earlier incident, while reps for Madden did not respond to inquiries.
Good Charlotte's new album, Good Morning Revival, is due out on March 27th.
