Led Zeppelin drummer's son hoping to paly with the band one more time
Jason Bonham wants one more chance to sit in his father's position and play drums for Led Zeppelin. Jason, who's the son of late Zeppelin drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham, has played with the group on a few occasions, including when they were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and now that he's sober, he'd really like another shot. Jason told the Associated Press, "It would be an absolute honor, and it would be closure for me. Even though I did OK last time, I would love the chance to give it 110 per cent, even just one more time. Just for myself."
Before anyone gets there hopes up, Jason announced that no reunion is in the works, saying, "There has always been talk, but there are no plans that I know of."
Jason is currently the drummer in Foreigner. Their next gig is on Friday, March 16th, at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, Hawaii. The band has shows booked into October, and there will be some over the summer with Styx, the reunited Asia, and Def Leppard.
