Movie preview: Black Snake Moan
Blues guitarist Lazarus finds a half-naked Rae beaten unconscious on a road near his Tennessee home. He takes her in, nurses her back to health, and chains her to a radiator so he can cure her of her wicked ways. While healing the sex-crazed woman, Lazarus also begins fixing his own heart, which was broken by a cheating wife. Christina Ricci and Samuel L. Jackson star.
Christina Ricci on thinking back to Black Snake nudity: "I was in my bathroom about two months after the movie finished and I was brushing my teeth and I was in my underwear and I like, looked down and was like 'Oh, gotta put something on.' And then I just stopped and thought, 'I was half naked for two months! And my ass was camera.' But it's so interesting how when you come out of character and you become yourself again, you're sort of like, 'Oh.'"
Sam Jackson on why character chains up Ricci's character: "He wanted to control her and fix her, so the only way he could think to do that was to put this chain on her and still give her some amount of freedom and pump this biblical medicine into her."
