Movie Preview: Wild Hogs

A dentist, a lawyer, a plumber/aspiring writer, and a computer geek shake up their dull lives by taking their motorcycles out on a road trip from Cincinnati to California. They encounter a mean bike gang, fire, a cute waitress, poop-dropping birds, and a cocky policeman along the way, and soon realize their seemingly boring existence isn't so bad after all. The "Wild Hogs" are played by John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, William H. Macy, and Tim Allen.

John Travolta on the premise of Wild Hogs: "These four middle-aged guys going across country on their motorcycles, acting out their fantasy of being a little tougher than they are, a little hipper than they are, and getting in trouble for all that. Meaning, they're just looking for trouble. And they don't even know they're looking for trouble. It's just that they're like these red flags that are flying across the country like saying, 'Give me trouble.'"

Martin Lawrence on what attracted him to Wild Hogs: "The fact that you know, it was an opportunity for me to come in and it be a team movie. And that it wasn't, you know, like other movies that I've done it's been all on my shoulders. This wasn't all on my shoulders. You know, it was about a team thing and that's what attracted me to the movie."

Following are clips from Wild Hogs:

Dudley thanks Woody for letting him ride on the back of his motorcycle: (William H. Macy) "Thanks Woody. I feel really safe with you." (John Travolta) "I noticed that. And if you ever lay your head on my back again when you're riding bitch, I'll throw you into traffic." (Macy) "I was just trying to keep the wind off my face." (Travolta) "I felt you smell my neck." (Martin Lawrence) "Did you smell that man's neck?" (Macy) "His cologne is fantastic. It's musky with an oaky finish. Like a lawyer cowboy."

Woody explains to the guys that there are no rules on their road trip: (John Travolta) "There are no rules on this trip, remember? We're just heading for the Pacific and there ain't no plan. Who knows where we're going to be?" (Tim Allen) "I know where we're gonna be. It's a GPS in my phone now, look at that thing." (Travolta) "Let me see that. It's cool. Look at that." (Allen) "What did you for?" (Travolta) "For the good of the trip. You don't need a GPS to discover America. You need a bike and you need the road."

The guys run out of gas while in the middle of the desert: (Martin Lawrence) "They say you can get something to drink out of cactus, right? Where are the cactuses? We're in the desert, they don't have no damn cactuses?" (William H. Macy) "Actually, I think when it's plural it's cacti." (Lawrence) "I'm killing him." (John Travolta) "You're gonna kill him?" (Lawrence) "Hey, we're all thinking it, ok? We're gonna need the nourishment, he'll put up the least struggle."
