Next Three Days Grace tour shaping up
Three Days Grace has unveiled the first string of dates for its upcoming spring headlining trek, which begins on April 18th in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Eight more shows through the end of April are already on sale, with more expected to be confirmed shortly. The band is touring in support of its second album, One X. The Canadian group hit the road for two years behind its self-titled 2003 debut, but frontman Adam Gontier told us that the going is much easier this time: "This tour for us has been pretty good, you know. We've been out for a long time, but the first time around we weren't really used to touring, you know. We got thrown into something pretty quickly that we weren't, you know, 100 percent used to being away from home for like two years, you know, so. But this time around, yeah, it's different. We know what sort of environment we need to be in, we know...we're sort of veterans of the road right now, I guess you could say."
Gontier checked into rehab after the band got off the road last time in 2005. Both he and the group have done special concerts at rehab centers and group homes since getting back on tour this past year.
The band will also play the Rock on the Range festival on May 19th with Evanescence, Velvet Revolver, Hinder, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin and many others, as well as a June 29th gig at a Marine Corps base in Hawaii and a 4th of July concert at a naval base in Japan.
One X features the band's current chart-topping single, "Pain."
