Paul McCartney sent Heather Mills flowers before dancing debut
Paul McCartney sent his estranged wife Heather Mills flowers, prior to her performance earlier this week on ABC's Dancing With The Stars. On Tuesday night (March 20th), Mills appeared on CNN's Larry King Live and confirmed that McCartney had sent her a bouquet, saying that, "It just said 'Dear Mommy, love Daddy and Beatrice.' So it was nice."
Mills said that the gesture didn't surprise her, explaining that, "We still have a friendship. It's only his lawyers that are a nightmare. We're fine." She added that financially, she's actually less well off now than when she first met McCartney in 1999: "I was a $30,000- to $50,000-an-hour public speaker. And that's what everyone seems to forget. And I gave up so many opportunities to be the good wife and mother and to carry on my charity work."
Mills went on to take a swipe at McCartney's attorney for delaying the couple's divorce settlement stating that, "There's no settlement. (His lawyer) Fiona Shackleton wants to drag things out. She's said some pretty mean-spirited things about me when I was in a wheelchair. But she is not a very nice person and she has made it as difficult as possible."
Earlier this month Mills told Britain's BBC that despite their break-up, she would always have love for McCartney.
Macca and Mills separated in 2006 after four years of marriage. They currently share custody of their three year-old daughter Beatrice.
