Paul Rodgers to release live CD & DVD
Paul Rodgers will release a live album next month, and he'll follow that up with a live DVD a few weeks later. Both are titled Live In Glasgow, and they're from a sold-out show last October 13th at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland, which was the last date on his U.K. tour. The Live In Glasgow CD is due April 17th, while the DVD comes out May 29th.
Along with hits like "All Right Now," "Bad Company," and "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love," both the CD and DVD have the new song "Warboys (A Prayer For Peace)," while the DVD also includes a second new song called "Far Distant Shore."
Rodgers told us that coming up with a set list takes some work: "There are so many bands and so much material for me to draw upon. There is obviously the material I wrote with Free, the material I wrote with Bad Company, the Firm. We don't even get around to the Law, actually (most nights). So yeah, it's quite a balancing act."
Rodgers was backed on the tour by a band that included longtime Heart guitarist Howard Leese, drummer Ryan Hoyle from the group Collective Soul, singer-bassist Lynn Sorensen, and 17-year-old singer-guitarist Kurtis Dengler from the group Electric Shades Of Blue.
The next show for Rodgers is April 13th in Peachtree City, Georgia.
The tracklisting for the Live In Glasgow CD includes: "I'll Be Creepin'," "The Stealer," "Ride On A Pony," "Radioactive," "Be My Friend," "Warboys (A Prayer For Peace)," "Feel Like Makin' Love," "Bad Company," "(I Just Wanna) See You Smile," "Louisiana Blues," "Fire And Water," "Wishing Well," "All Right Now," "I'm A Mover," "The Hunter," "Can't Get Enough," and "Seagull."
