Personal Metallica items auctioned on eBay

Personal items from members of Metallica and Weezer have gone up for auction on eBay. According to Blabbermouth, a protective glove that Metallica frontman James Hetfield wore on his left arm after suffering second and third-degree burns during a 1992 concert is now for sale. The seller, who claims to have worked for the band during its 1991 U.S. tour, obtained the glove from Metallica's former tour manager. The autographed glove also comes with a Hetfield guitar pick from the 1992 tour, a '91-'92 world tour "after-show" pass, two photocopied photographs of Hetfield wearing the medical glove and a certificate of authenticity from the tour manager. The auction ends on March 25th.

Meanwhile, Weezer drummer Patrick Wilson is selling his Subaru Forester on eBay, according to RollingStone.com. Wilson is apparently no stranger to buying and selling on the site: he also recently unloaded a guitar and amp, and has also made some purchases of his own.

Weezer is reportedly beginning to work on material for its sixth studio album. No timetable for recording has been set.

Metallica will become the first American act to headline London's new Wembley Stadium on July 8th as part of the band's summer European tour. The rebuilt venue will host shows by British acts George Michael and Muse in June. Metallica has promised to bring "a few of our friends along" for the gig.
