"Prison Break" actor charged with manslaughter
Actor Lane Garrison turned himself in to authorities on March 8th after being charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence, giving alcohol to a minor, and other crimes. He was freed on $100,000 bail and has been ordered not to drive, consume alcohol, or have any contact with anyone connected to the fatal crash in question until an April 11th arraignment hearing.
The Texan plowed his SUV into a tree in Beverly Hills in December, killing 17-year-old passenger Vahagn Setian and injuring two 15-year-old female passengers. Police say he was high on cocaine and drunk when the accident happened. His attorneys say he only had one drink and claim he doesn't remember anything about the fatal wreck.
Garrison met the students when they recognized him at a local supermarket. He and the teens were reportedly on their way to buy alcohol for a party at the time of the crash. His attorneys deny that story.
Garrison played Tweener on Prison Break. He appears in Mark Wahlberg's new movie Shooter later this month.
