Snow Patrol records song for SpiderMan 3
Snow Patrol has contributed a previously unreleased song called "Signal Fire" to the soundtrack of the upcoming movie Spider-Man 3, according to Aversion.com. The U.K. band recorded the track last month, with drummer Johnny Quinn playing his parts despite having one arm in a cast due to a snowboarding accident in January. Quinn is still letting friend Graham Hopkins handle things behind the kit on the group's current North American tour, which stops on Wednesday, March 14th, in Mexico City. The tour wraps up in Canada in early April.
Snow Patrol is supporting its 2006 album, Eyes Open, which features the singles "Chasing Cars" and "Open Your Eyes."
Spider-Man 3 comes out on May 4th and once again features Tobey Maguire as the webslinging superhero, this time battling arch-enemies Sandman and Venom.
On another note, former Snow Patrol bassist Mark McClelland has formed a new group called Little Doses. There's no word yet on when the band will release any material.
