'Til Death Do Us Part examines murderous side of marriage
Pink Flamingos and Pecker director John Waters lends his off-beat sensibilities to the new Court TV show 'Til Death Do Us Part. The true crime series focuses on marriages that eventually lead to murder, with Waters guiding viewers through events as the "Groom Reaper." Waters introduces each episode, explains how the union will dissolve, and after each drama is acted out, he returns at the end of the segment with more analysis of the crime.
Waters describes the show and his role in it: "It's based on true crimes every week where the bride or groom kill one another and I play the Groom Reaper. It starts with their wedding every week and I'm the one who knows and I talk to the audience."
'Til Death Do Us Part premieres with back-to-back episodes tonight (March 19th). The 10:00 edition is about a doctor and his younger wife, and the 10:30 installment involves a funeral director and his slimmed-down spouse.
