Woody Harrelson sued by photographers
Natural Born Killers star Woody Harrelson is being sued by a paparazzo for roughing him up outside of a Hollywood nightclub last June. TMZ photographer Josh Levine claims in his lawsuit that he was only trying to get a picture of Harrelson when the actor approached him, broke his camera equipment by shoving it into his body, strangled him with his hands, and threatened further bodily injury. Levine went to the hospital for treatment of minor neck abrasions, and wants $2.5 million for the alleged assault and battery.
Police and the L.A. District Attorney's office investigated the incident with the help of a videotape of the alleged attack, but did not pursue criminal charges against the Kingpin and White Men Can't Jump star.
In this clip from the videotape of the incident, Harrelson asking Levine to stop pursuing him: (Josh Levine) "All I'm doing is filming." (Woody Harrelson) "Turn it off." (Levine) "All I'm doing is filming, man." (Harrelson) "I'm asking you to turn it off, so turn it off." (Levine) "And I'm telling you all I'm doing is my job." (Harrelson) "Will you stop doing it, please?" (Levine) "Alright, come on man." (Harrelson) "I've asked you to stop. Are you going to stop?" (Levine) "Not when you asked me like that." (Harrelson) "I asked you politely."
