Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband suing Bill O'Reilly for defamation
Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, is suing conservative commentator Bill O'Reilly and Fox News for defamation of character. Von Anhalt's $10 million lawsuit was filed Wednesday (March 14th) in response to The O'Reilly Factor host's comments that Von Anhalt was a "fraud" for declaring that he could be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn. Von Anhalt's court papers said that O'Reilly "knew that the statements were false" and used them to "directly injure his reputation in a substantial portion of his community."
Von Anhalt believes that O'Reilly's disparaging remarks turned people against him. He told the Associated Press that he's been getting dirty looks and vicious e-mails from friends, acquaintances, and strangers ever since O'Reilly attacked him on the February 22nd edition of his show.
Prior to the Dannielynn fiasco, Von Anhalt was primarily known as the keeper of Zsa Zsa Gabor's finances. He's battled with her daughter over millions of dollars, and has spoken for the actress ever since she suffered a stroke in 2005, and was partially paralyzed in a 2002 car accident.
