311 ang Matisyahu teaming up for tour
311 has announced the details of a summer tour, with Hasidic reggae artist Matisyahu joining the alternative rockers on most of the dates. Another opening act is expected to be announced soon. The trek kicks off on June 21st in Tucson, Arizona, wrapping up on August 25th in Las Vegas. 311 doesn't have a new album to promote, but has recently started working on material for its next release, which is due out in 2008.
311's last album, Don't Tread On Me, came out in 2005.
Matisyahu is still touring behind his 2006 CD, Youth.
According to Punknews.org, 311 recently entered the studio to record a cover of Toots & the Maytals' "Reggae Got Soul" for the soundtrack of the upcoming film Surf's Up. The film and soundtrack are due out in June.
