Aerosmith to play Latin America

Aerosmith is heading out for a few dates in Latin America, and the guys are really stoked. On the aeroforceone.com fan club website, bassist Tom Hamilton wrote, "The band is psyched, to say the least, to be going to South America and Mexico... It's been years since we've been down that way and we want to make sure we do as much damage as possible. I remember the last time we played Sao Paulo. It was our first time playing in Brazil and we were amazed at how many people are into the band. Thinking about it makes us anxious to get down there and show how much we've been practicing all these years."

Hamilton added, "We picked a bunch of songs that we're sure people want to hear and hopefully we guessed right. Some of them are ones we haven't been playing for the last couple of years. Actually, a few of them weren't even written the last time we played there. We've got a lot of other stuff going on in our show that we never did in South America, especially with the sound, lights, and the video screens. We were sitting around talking about it and getting excited about taking everything we've been doing all these years and spewing it out all at once!"

Aerosmith and special guest Velvet Revolver play their first show together on Thursday (April 12th) in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and they'll also hit Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Sunday (April 15th). After that, Aerosmith has got shows next week in the Mexican cities of Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City.
