The Allman Brothers add tour dates
The Allman Brothers Band have added dates to their current tour, which kicked off on March 22nd. They added a 15th show to their New York City run at the Beacon Theater on Sunday (April 8th), and have joined the line-up of the Wanee Festival on April 13th and 14th in Live Oak, Florida.
The touring band this year includes vocalist/keyboardist Gregg Allman, drummers Butch Trucks and Jaimoe, vocalist/guitarist Warren Haynes, guitarist Derek Trucks, bassist Oteil Burbridge, and percussionist Marc Quinones. Such Allman Brothers staples as "Whipping Post," "One Way Out," and "Mountain Jam," along with select Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan covers, have been part of their set lists.
The Allman Brothers have recently released Boston Common 8/17/71 from their personal archives. The CD is available at www.hittinthenote.com
