Arctic Monkeys return with "Worst Nightmare"
Arctic Monkeys release their sophomore album on Tuesday (April 24th), called Favorite Worst Nightmare. The new record follows up the British band's 2006 debut, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, which was the fastest-selling debut in the history of the U.K. music business and also moved close to 300,000 copies in the U.S. The first single from the new disc is called "Brianstorm."
The British act plays at the Coachella Festival this Friday (April 27th) in Indio, California, before beginning a North American tour on May 1st in San Francisco.
Arctic Monkeys have been nominated for one of England's prestigious Ivor Novello Awards. The group is up against Amy Winehouse and Hot Chip in the Best Contemporary Song category for "When The Sun Goes Down." The awards will be handed out in London on May 24th.
