Breaking Benjamin offers up new phobia

Breaking Benjamin offers up a new version of its latest album, Phobia, on Tuesday (April 17th), featuring an acoustic rendition of "The Diary of Jane," an hour-long concert DVD, a foil slipcase and 3D artwork. Don't look for any new tunes, however. Frontman and songwriter Ben Burnley is a notorious perfectionist who told us he doesn't record any songs unless he's completely happy with them: "I'd say every song that I write, I lose a little bit more hair (laughs). You know, it is a stressful thing, but you have a standard that you put yourself through being the singer, the songwriter and the performer all in one, and you have to be a little bit of a perfectionist. I think every musician is like that. I don't know anybody that's really not."

Burnley reportedly discards 10 songs for every one he keeps.

Breaking Benjamin is offering fans a chance to save four dollars if they buy the new edition of Phobia at Best Buy. You can get the rebate with a coupon that can be found at totalassault.com.

Phobia is Breaking Benjamin's third album. The CD's latest single, "Breath," is Top 10 at all rock formats.

Breaking Benjamin will begin a co-headlining tour with Three Days Grace on May 11th in Glen Falls, New York. Puddle Of Mudd and Red will also be on the bill.
