Bullet For My Valentine itching to play new songs

Bullet For My Valentine recently called a halt to the recording sessions for its sophomore album in order to hit the road again in the U.S. The group is touring in support of its 2005 debut, The Poison, and current single, "All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)." But guitarist Michael Padget told us that the Welsh act is getting a little tired of supporting the same record: [ Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "I think deep down inside we're all kind of getting a little bored of playing the songs live now, you know? We still like the album and stuff, but I think we're just waiting for the new one to come out, you know. We just can't wait for that one to come out, really. We just want to start playing some new stuff."

The band headed to El Paso, Texas in January and February to begin recording its next CD. Eleven songs have been laid down, with singer Matt Tuck scheduled to finish his vocals when the band comes off the road.

The group is hoping for an October release for the new disc and has been playing one new song, called "Scream, Aim and Fire," in its current live show.

Bullet For My Valentine played on Tuesday night (April 17th) in Chicago. The current U.S. trek wraps up on May 10th in Toledo, Ohio.
