Buyers of Ozzy Osbourne's upcoming album get first shot at Ozzfest tix

Fans who purchase specially marked copies of Ozzy Osbourne's upcoming album, Black Rain, will have a first shot at scoring tickets to this summer's free Ozzfest. According to a press release, certain copies of the CD's initial pressing will contain a code that allows the user to obtain two tickets to the festival through a special web site on June 8th, four days before tickets become available to the general public. Black Rain, Osbourne's first album of all-new material since 2001's Down To Earth, arrives in stores on May 22nd.

Ticket codes for the tour will be distributed to the public through its sponsor web sites, beginning on May 12th. Fans will be able to return to the site at which they obtained the codes on June 12th and enter them to download two tickets to the show. There is a limit of two tickets per customer.

Details on how to obtain the codes are available at ozzfest.com, livenation.com, monsterenergy.com, jagermusic.com and fye.com.

The 24-city Ozzfest begins on July 12th in Seattle. In addition to headliner Ozzy Osbourne, groups slated to perform include Lamb Of God, Hatebreed, Lordi, Behemoth, Mondo Generator and others.

The first single from Black Rain, titled "I Don't Wanna Stop," arrived at radio stations on Friday (April 13th).
