David Bowie to release two live albums in June
David Bowie will have two new releases available on June 5th. One is a reissue of his 1974 album Young Americans that's coming out as a "Special Edition," with bonus tracks and a DVD, while the second is a new anthology called The Best Of David Bowie 1980-1987: Sight & Sound, which will also be a CD/DVD package.
The new version of Young Americans has three extra songs -- "John, I'm Only Dancing (Again)," "Who Can I Be Now?", and a previously unreleased version of "It's Gonna Be Me" that features a string section. The DVD portion has new mixes of the music in high-resolution audio, along with footage of an interview and performances of the songs "Young Americans" and "1984" from The Dick Cavett Show on December 4th, 1974.
The Best Of David Bowie 1980-1987 has 34 tracks, with hit songs including "Let's Dance," "Fashion," and "Modern Love" on the CD, while the DVD has videos for "Ashes To Ashes, "Blue Jean," and "China Girl," among others, plus clips for "The Drowned Girl" and "When The Wind Blows," which have never been on DVD before.
