The Eagles looking at June for new album
If everything works out, we'll finally get a new Eagles record in time for the summer. The touring industry trade publication Pollstar is reporting that the project, which is titled Long Road Out Of Eden, will be released in June. That's just a little bit of a delay from Don Henley's pronouncements in January that the album was 60 to 90 days away -- but it's been 28 years since The Long Run came out, so a few more days shouldn't bother anyone too much.
Henley also said earlier this year that the Eagles wanted to tour this summer, but as of now, it looks like they won't hit the road until the fall.
Whenever the new album is released, it will only be available in Wal-Mart. The Eagles signed a deal with the retailer that gives it a one-year exclusive sales window.

Eagles mates Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh have signed on to perform for the National Association Of Chain Drug Stores. The organization is having its annual meeting from April 21st to the 25th in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Frey and Walsh will each do a set at the convention, as will Huey Lewis & the News.
