Fall Out Boy bassist and Ashlee Simpson heating things up?
Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz seems to be turning up the heat on his much-rumored romance with Ashlee Simpson. According to People.com, Wentz and Simpson were spotted on Saturday night (April 7th) "kissing and cuddling" during a friend's birthday party at new Los Angeles hot spot Parc. Wentz and Simpson reportedly got comfortable in a partially hidden booth where, as one witness said, "They definitely weren't hiding the fact that they were together. They were making out a lot and they were pretty intense." The couple later left the club together.
Wentz alluded to being involved with someone when we asked him whether it was harder to get dates now that Fall Out Boy was such a huge success: "Technically, right now, I guess I have a girlfriend, so I'm not looking really for dates. But it is really hard to get a date just in the way that most people want to go to bed with Pete from Fall Out Boy, but then they wake up with Pete Wentz in the morning, you know? I think that people want you to be on all the time. Unfortunately, like, no one is, ever."
Wentz has previously denied a serious relationship with the pop singer, telling People last November that while he thought Simpson was "the sweetest girl ever," they were "just friends." Wentz also told Rolling Stone earlier this year, "Maybe in a different universe, we'd be some hot couple, but not in this one."
Fall Out Boy postponed the start of its 2007 Honda Civic Tour on Friday (April 6th), due to undisclosed "personal issues." The trek was originally slated to begin on April 18th in North Carolina, but will now begin on May 11th in Denver. Tickets for all the original dates will be honored at the new ones.
