Fall Out Boy kept song title short to please record label

Fans of Fall Out Boy might be confused by the spelling of their latest single "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" (Thanks For The Memories), but the group assures us there's a reason the title has no vowels. Pete Wentz told us the group omitted the vowels as a joke to their record label: "Our label told us on the last record that on this record they wanted shorter song titles. So we decided to cut all the vowels out (laughs). They were like, 'The singles need to have shorter song titles,' so we were like, 'All right, we'll give you your song title. We'll cut all the vowels out and make it shorter for you.' Always got to keep messin' with people, no matter where you're at, you know."

Fall Out Boy was scheduled to begin a US tour on April 18th but postponed the trek due to a band member's health concerns. The tour will now start May 11th in Denver.

"This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race," the first release off Infinity On High drops nine spots to Number 29 on this week's Billboard Hot 100 chart.
