"Family Values" tour dates unveiled

The schedule for this summer's Family Values Tour, co-headlined by Korn and Evanescence, has been announced. The 30-city tour will begin on July 20th in Missouri, ending in early September in California. The lineup also includes Flyleaf, Hellyeah, Atreyu, Trivium, Neurosonic and Droid. Korn has also revealed that Slipknot's Joey Jordison will be the band's guest drummer for both Family Values and this summer's European festival shows. Jordison said, "I'm lucky to have had the opportunity to perform with bands that have influenced me as a musician over the years. When I first heard Korn they blew me away and I've been a fan ever since. I'm looking forward to playing drums with these guys for the next five months!"

As for whether Evanescence singer Amy Lee will perform "Freak On A Leash" with Korn as she did at the band's recent Unplugged taping, Lee told us that she wasn't sure what would happen: "I don't know, actually. I'm not really sure what the plan is with that. I haven't heard if they're gonna be playing it acoustic or what, but I'm down. I'm willing to do it if they want to do it."

As with last year's Family Values run, lawn tickets will be priced at $9.99 for most of the stops. Tickets go on sale April 28th at LiveNation.com.

Korn is currently recording its eighth studio album, tentatively set for release on July 24th.

Although famed drummer Terry Bozzio worked on much of the record, Korn announced earlier this month that he would not be joining the band on tour. Original Korn drummer David Silveria is taking a hiatus.
