Forest Whitaker receiving Walk Of Fame star
Oscar winner Forest Whitaker becomes a literal fixture in Hollywood this morning (April 16th) with the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Whitaker is the 2,335th person to receive the sidewalk honor, and it'll be presented to him during a ceremony attended by his Phone Booth co-star Kiefer Sutherland and Angela Bassett, star of his feature film directing debut Waiting To Exhale.
Whitaker won almost every acting award around this year for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in The Last King Of Scotland.
Despite his many accolades for the performance, Whitaker said his best work is still to come: "I got so many things, characters I haven't played, I can't tell you. I mean, with the right script, with the right character, I'm gonna do my best work coming up. Because I just figured out really, I think, how to do my work, really, recently, over the last few years. I mean, I feel proud of some of the things, but I just really just figured it out, I think, a little bit. I want to see what happens."
