Green Day to appear in punk documentary
Green Day and Blink-182 are among the bands that will be featured in an upcoming documentary about the punk rock scene of the 1990s, according to NME. The film, called One Nine Nine Four, will chronicle the emergence of that decade's generation of punk rockers, including the Offspring, Rancid, Bad Religion and many others. The film's Australia-based producers have been interviewing acts and collecting archival footage in Los Angeles before heading home next month to begin editing the project together.
One Nine Nine Four is expected to be released in 2008.
The movie will be narrated by skateboarding legend Tony Hawk.
GreenDay is currently at work on the follow-up to 2004's American Idiot album.
