Juno awards important for Three Days Grace

Canadian act Three Days Grace was scheduled to perform Sunday night (April 1st) at the Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent to the Grammys, where the band was also nominated for Best Group and Best Album. Drummer Neil Sanderson told us that being recognized at this year's event meant a lot to Three Days Grace: "We were fortunate enough to be nominated for a couple of Junos, which is cool. You know, we've been in America the vast majority amount of time, so to have some recognition up in Canada is really important to us, and it's cool to be able to go home and play the big music awards show."

This year's Junos were held in the city of Saskatoon and broadcast live on Canada's CTV network. Other nominated acts included Nickelback, Nelly Furtado, Evans Blue and Billy Talent.

Three Days Grace will begin a spring headlining tour on April 18th in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The band will also play the Rock on the Range festival on May 19th with Evanescence, Velvet Revolver, Hinder, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin and many others, as well as a June 29th gig at a Marine Corps base in Hawaii and a 4th of July concert at a naval base in Japan.

The band is touring in support of its second album, One X, which features the band's current hit single, "Pain."
