Keith Richards chucked a canary out of a window

Keith Richards once threw a canary out of a window after confusing it for an alarm clock. Rolling Stone reported that in 1980, while trying to sleep off a hangover, Richards flung the pet of Ron Wood's then-five year-old son Jamie out of the window. Despite a search around the Woods' Los Angeles estate, the bird was never found.

Jamie, now 32, joked that, "My mum was telling me the story the other day. She said Keith thought the canary was an alarm clock. He cracks me up."

Earlier this month, Richards made headlines when he said that he had snorted some of his late father's ashes mixed with cocaine. He later claimed that he was joking.
