Los Lonely Boys cover John Lennon

Los Lonely Boys have been added to the roster of artists covering John Lennon songs for Amnesty International. The band has recorded a version of Lennon's Number One hit "Whatever Gets You Through The Night" for an album called Instant Karma: The Campaign To Save Darfur. The project also includes R.E.M., Green Day, U2, Christina Aguilera, the Cure, Snow Patrol, the Black Eyed Peas, Jack Johnson, Corinne Bailey Rae, the Postal Service, and Regina Spektor, and proceeds go to Amnesty International's campaign to end the Darfur genocide.

The Los Lonely Boys version of "Whatever Gets You Through The Night" is available on iTunes now, and the full Instant Karma album will be released June 12th.

Los Lonely Boys singer-guitarist Henry Garza said, "Our hearts go out to the victims in Darfur. Our family has also known tragedy, and we know how sacred life can be. We care. We are proud to give support to people in need. We are grateful that Amnesty International is making this possible. We want to thank Yoko Ono for allowing us to embrace John Lennon's song. John continues to influence us today in many ways."
