Ozzy, Bon Jovi, Simmons, Hendrix on biography channel
The Biography Channel pays tribute this week to some high-profile rock frontmen. The Rock 'N' Roll Trailblazers week will run profiles of Ozzy Osbourne, Jon Bon Jovi, Jimi Hendrix, and Kiss singer-bassist Gene Simmons.
The shows began on Monday, April 2nd with Osbourne's "flamboyant and often outrageous life," including interviews with Elton John, Jay Leno, and American Idol's Simon Cowell, among others.
On Tuesday, April 3rd, it's Bon Jovi's turn, and he'll be saluted by people including Elton John, Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart, and former US Vice President Al Gore, for whom the singer campaigned in 2000.
Hendrix gets the treatment on Wednesday (April 4th), with interviews from the guitarist's road manager, his girlfriend, and the cardiologist who attended his death.
The shows end on Thursday (April 5th) with a profile of Simmons, which focuses on his music and his business dealings, such as book publishing, real estate, TV -- including his reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels -- and of course merchandising.
