Ozzy Osbourne forecasts "Black Rain"
Ozzy Osbourne has set Black Rain as the title of his new solo album, his first such effort since 2001's Down To Earth. According to Rolling Stone, the record will be out in early June, with a single called "I Don't Want To Stop" receiving its online premiere on Friday, April 13th. A sample of that song and several others from the new album are available at Ozzy.com.Other tracks set for inclusion on the CD are "Not Going Away," "Countdown's Begun," "Civilize The Universe" and "Lay Your World On Me," which was inspired by Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne's battle with cancer not long ago.
Ozzy Osbourne recorded Black Rain with the band that backed him on the 2006 Ozzfest tour, consisting of guitarist Zakk Wylde, drummer Mike Bordin and ex-Rob Zombie bassist Rob "Blasko" Nicholson. The disc was recorded at Osbourne's new home studio, located in a guest house behind his Beverly Hills mansion.
Ozzy will headline this summer's "free" Ozzfest, beginning on July 12th in Seattle.
