Rest In Peace, Don Ho
Hawaiian singer Don Ho passed away Saturday (April 14th) in Honolulu. The 76-year-old was best known for his signature song, "Tiny Bubbles." The island legend also guest starred as himself in a number of TV shows, including The Brady Bunch, The Fall Guy, Fantasy Island, and Sanford And Son.
Ho was a self-taught musician who got his start performing at his parents' bar in Hawaii. He was at his most popular in the 1960s, but continued to tour and play regular dates in Las Vegas and Hawaii until his death. He is considered one of Hawaii's most successful exports.
Ho suffered from a heart condition called cardiomyopathy for years. He underwent an experimental adult stem cell therapy procedure in November 2005 to strengthen his weakening heart, and his health visibly improved after that.
