Shaw/Blades shoot DVD
Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades performed a special show on Saturday, April 14th. The two old friends wereat the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California, where they to shot a DVD of their Shaw/Blades acoustic show.
Tommy told us he and Jack have found the make-up of the audience on the Shaw/Blades tour to be very interesting: "We're seeing some people who probably saw the VH1 (Classic) television show and are curious about that. It's hard to define the audience, because, you know, there are some people who (are) really big Night Ranger fans, not necessarily Styx fans, and probably vice-versa."
The Agoura Hills show was supposed to be the last one on the tour, which is in support of the new Shaw/Blades album called Influence. But a couple of shows were postponed after Tommy came down with a viral infection in his throat and had to stop singing for a few days. Two of them have been rescheduled -- Akron, Ohio, on May 30th, and Chicago on May 31st.
