Bravery playing free shows in New York
The Bravery will play two free concerts at tiny New York City club Arlene's Grocery on Tuesday (May 8th). Billed as "MySpace secret shows," the first gig will be all ages and take place at 5 p.m. ET, while the second will be for people over 21 and start at 9 p.m. Entry is limited and on a "first come, first serve" basis. Keyboardist John Conway told us that the Bravery prefers more intimate shows: "I know our favorite thing is to go see bands at kind of a small environment, or, you know, bands that can kind of capture the feel of a small place. You know, you usually get the best shows and a lot of interaction, and there's just an energy that happens."
The surprise shows follow a performance by the group on Monday afternoon (May 7th) at the Apple Store in Manhattan's trendy Soho area.
The Sun and the Moon, the Bravery's second album, is due out in May. The record's first single is called "Time Won't Let Me Go."
Another new track from The Sun and the Moon, called "Every Word Is A Knife In My Ear," recently premiered at MSN.com.
The group begins a North American tour on May 14th in Vancouver, Canada.
