In addition to material from the Grammy award-winning album We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, highlights on the new set include folk-oriented arrangements of such Springsteen favorites as "Blinded By The Light," "Growin' Up," "Atlantic City," "You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch)," "Open All Night," "Bobby Jean," "For You," "If I Should Fall Behind," and "The River."
Springsteen has always aimed for his albums and tours to be more than just entertainment, and he hopes that his work will help inspire some type of dialogue among his audience: "People are looking for ways to have a dialogue about these ideas, about these issues. They're looking for ways to try to get a handle and make sense of what's happening, you know, and I think that music and film and art has a service to perform in that fashion. It can be one of its services."
There have been rumblings that an E Street Band album and tour are in the works for this year, but so far there has been no official word from Springsteen on any future projects apart from the upcoming live CD/DVD.
